Yesterday, our own Dr. Philip Efron was recognized as a University of Florida Research Foundation Professor (UFRF). The UFRF award recognizes professors who have a distinguished record of research and a strong research agenda that is likely to lead to further distinction in their fields. The UFRF professorship awards provide critical support for faculty to continue their groundbreaking research and inspire the next generation of scholars.
“ It is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of not just myself, but also my colleagues and students who have supported and inspired me along the way. This award motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of my research and continue mentoring and collaborating with the next generation of scholars. It is a great honor to be recognized by your peers and the university,” says Efron, Professor and Co-Director of the Sepsis & Critical Illness Research Center.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Efron for his 2023 UFRF Professorship! His contributions to the University of Florida and the broader academic community are truly remarkable.
