The Sepsis & Critical Illness Research Center and Department of Surgery proudly congratulate Dr. Whitman Wiggins on his election to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. This distinction recognizes excellence in scholarship, leadership, professionalism, and service to the medical profession.
Election to AOA is a significant achievement and a reflection of Dr. Wiggins’ dedication to academic medicine and patient care. As part of the induction process, new members will receive registration information directly from the national AOA office and will complete their membership enrollment through the organization.
Dr. Wiggins will be formally recognized at the Alpha Omega Alpha banquet on March 19, 2026. The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Bryant Adibe, a University of Florida College of Medicine alumnus (Class of 2014) and Jay S. Sugarman Practitioner in Residence at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
