The University of Florida Sepsis and Critical Illness Research Center (SCIRC) recently celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated laboratory space at UF Health Shands Hospital.
The expanded and updated space will support SCIRC’s collaborative research focused on improving outcomes for patients with sepsis and critical illness while also providing an enhanced environment for training surgical residents, trainees and the next generation of surgeon-scientists.
The renovation reflects years of planning and strong support from leadership across the UF College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Office of Research and UF Health Shands.
